today was pretty awesome, i wont lie. maybe its because it was wed. maybe its because i got to see a certain someone for the first time in 2 weeks. but at the same time i keep finding myself thinking a lot about death. just the idea that life is so incredible fragile. that we were given life to live...but where does living become a slow killing of that very life given to you? this kid who used to play club polo with bm died over the weekend bc he overdosed on meth. sophomore in college. another kid died in a car crash. then a boy who graduated bm last year got mono, fell and hit his head, got a contusion(sp?) and died in the hospital yesterday morning. its just...there arent really any words for it i guess. the first two scenarios...i mean, it scares me bc i have friends who can be really rash about partying and drugs and it really made me put into perspective what could happen to them. but i mean...that in mind...it makes me think what can i do? my friends that do drugs...ive always been pretty chill about them doing it. it never bothered me and to a certain extent still doesnt bc i respect that decision that thats how they want to live their lives. theyre all pretty well grounded kids. i dont know. it just makes me wonder. and then this whole thing about austin green dying so suddenly and irreversibly. when u die you disappear. does he become another number? another statistic? do any of them? i dunno. too many thoughts running wild. maybe i can settle everything and try to think more coherently later on.
anyho...it really was a lovely day today. so maybe it was a fond farewell...a brilliant show to bid farewell to those who died. especially the sunset. it was completely out of this world. id like to think thats what it was. the stars ribbon dancing in celebration of new beginings. a reminder to not take life for granted.
