By reducing your caloric intake by 48 calories each day over the course of a year, you could drop five pounds -- which shows that simple changes really do make a difference. Trading skim milk for whole each day would save 70 calories, which would produce a seven pound weight loss after one year. Choosing a sugar substitute in place of 1 tbsp of sugar would save 48 calories a day (think about how much you add to your coffee, tea, etc.) and could result in a five pound weight loss. Choosing a diet soda over a regular soda would save about 150 calories -- which would lead to the greatest weight loss, 15 total pounds. By using all three of the strategies above on a daily basis you could lose 27 pounds! And, the best part is, your tastebuds will never know the difference, just your waistline.
