Desperate times call for desperate measures

I'm trying to be good. I'm really, really, really trying to be good. I want to lose weight. I want to get back in shape before going to Scotland. I've lost a couple of pounds lately, nothing to "reward" myself for, but I'm happy. So this morning before I leave for work, I actually put 4 Girl Scout cookies into a baggie as a "test" to myself. I don't know. It does seem rather absurd, doesn't it? LOL! But Michael ate some GS cookies last night after supper, and I wanted some sooooo bad, but I ate another orange and a piece of cheese instead. At least they weren't completely empty calories.

Michael has given up soda as well and is not buying snacks on his route anymore. He's even taking his lunch. He wants to lose some weight as well. But he was a very bad boy last night. :(

I wish I could go to Reno! *sniff* But I can't pout too much, as I am going to Scotland with G, and I can hardly wait. :D

Hey, have you seen that Calorie Commando show on The Food Network? I'm going to start downloading his recipes. His food looks really, really good but cuts way back on fat and calories. People write into the show and tell them about their favorite foods - whether it's chocolate cake, cheesecake, fried cheese sticks, whatever - and he takes their recipes and gives them a "recipe makeover" and takes out all the bad stuff and leaves in all the flavor. At least that's what he says. LOL! But it's worth a try, I think. His name is Juan Carlos Cruz. Here is a link:

And here is a link to a chocolate cheesecake recipe:

I also saw him make "fried mozzarella sticks" in one episode, except they were baked in the oven of course. They looked really good.

I haven't heard of him! Thanks for the link. I'm going to check some of that out. I liked Cooking Thin with Chef KAthleen, but I'm not sure if it's still on. The one thing I don't like about her recipes is that she doesn't list fat and calories. She just believes in healthy and good for you. Nice but I need to figure points. ;)
