Great list Ryan. When limiting that many movies into such a small list but I really love many of the films you listed. Pleasantville, Punch Drunk Love, English Patient, Lost in Translation, Quills, Topsy Turvy, Central Station, and Babe I love very much. Just got nixed out of there. I haven't seen Red Violin or Talented Mr Ripley and didn't care for Closer (as you know) or Contact. But you know, that is what's great about cinema. And maybe I'm just a movie whore who loves everything. I love my artsy independent, but I def. have a gut and soft spot for all those heart wrenching draining films. So I'm a crazy liberal who can swing right at a moments notice. I have no political comparison, but whatever...

And I totally get you about the market. Most of the films on my list I have seen on DVD or since college because Morehead Kentucky may be the smallest market for films in the US.

And yes, Bio Dome and Double Jeopardy are very bad. I just have a thing against Korine so I have to give him the honors. But I'd like to add Suburban Commando and In The Army Now to that list...whoa...

See you tomorrow, and thanks for the list!

And Jacob, you need to watch TIWN FALLS IADAHO again. It's amazing. Don't know what you didn't like about it. People have said The Polish Bros. films have no arc (which is why they made one literally for Northfork) but I disagree. But whatever. Peace.
