Going to England
Well, I've booked my plane ticket to England. I'll be heading there for the x-mas break. So I'll be there from Dec 16th to Jan 1st. I wonder how new years is in England. I guess I’ll find out. I'll be staying with my Aunt and her family for x-mas. My B-day will be spent there as well since my B-day is on the 22. It's nice that I'll still be around family for the holidays.
Work is going alright so far, not too much pressure or anything. It's tough though to gage how well I'm doing since there isn't a quota. I think I'm doing fine though. I've also sorted out my living arrangements.
I'll be moving into this house which is about a 25 min walk to work. I know, it's far, but this is just a temporary stop. The house is brand new and has a huge kitchen. My room isn't really a room though, it's the family room. It does have doors though, a fire place and a couch, but no wardrobe. Oh, and yea, a bed as well. I think this place will be fine for short term. I couldn't live there long term though, since the walk is far and I would like to have a proper room. Not to mention there will be three of us sharing a bathroom.
I've got to get them to clean the kitchen though before I move in, it's horrendous. I talked to this other woman in the studio who used to live there. She said that mess has been there since she moved out. So I don’t think these people like to clean much. Cheap rent in a nice, brand new, warm house is ok though.
Four other people will be moving at the end of the week into another brand new house which is only a 15min walk to work. This house is apparently amazing. It has self cleaning floors, a massive kitchen, and spacious rooms. The fourth guy they have is an intern and he'll be gone at the end of January, so I'll be able to move in then. I'm going to go look at the place tomorrow to make sure I want to go there. So if it all works out right, I’ll be at this 25 min walk to work place till the end of January, then it’s off to the self cleaning floors place.
I'm glad I'm moving out of the producers’ house. He's been a great host, but it is a little weird living with your boss, heh heh. I'm still working off my laptop at work; I think my computer is supposed to arrive tomorrow though. I definitely need to get internet when I move into that second house. I don't like surfing the net and typing e-mails and crap at work. People are constantly coming in and out of the room and it's not a very big room. Everyone can constantly see what's on your screen. I guess I won't be surfing the porn anytime soon then, heh heh. ;)
