A day in the crapper

What a tough day. Last week kicked ass at work. I was getting in on time for once and I was able to leave work at like 5:30ish. That never happens. I was planning to make a habit of it, but these last two days have been sucking. I think its lack of sleep so I'm off to bed very shortly to remedy that situation.

On the flip side, my weekend was extremely eventful and mixed with fun and self discovery. Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcome and comfortable. But today I only did half my quota; luckily I was ahead so now I'm just on time at the moment. No need to panic at all, I just need to make sure I can keep my eyes open at work tomorrow, unlike today. I skipped going to the gym so I could go to bed early but that didn't work for one simple reason. The family upstairs decided to flood their bathroom.

So I hear this dripping sound coming from my bathroom floor. The ceiling is made up of those removable foam panel thingys. The tiles were acting like a sponge and were soaking up all the water, then dripping on the floor. I had the awesome idea to push one of them up and I was pleasantly greeted by a bucket full of gushing toilet water. I can hear the family upstairs stomping around in a frantic panic. The father yelling at his son. The son running down the stairs into the laundry room, desperately looking for a plunger. I handed him mine which was conveniently located next to MY toilet like the sensible person I am. So thanks to them I spent a good chunk of my evening cleaning the whole bathroom because toilet water was everywhere.

I decided to look into my roommates bedroom which is next to the bathroom. "SHIT” I said aloud as I surveyed the drip, drip, dripping of water onto his bed, soaking his sheets. His guitar had spatters of water too. I carefully poked at the ceiling panels and one of them started to ooze....shit... What a mess, I did the best cleanup job I could, and then I had a shower, made some food, and watched a movie to unwind. My roommate came home and remained surprisingly calm, I think it was because he said he was swearing at work earlier so he already vented for some other unrelated matter. I think it's been a crappy day all around for people I know. Maybe it's the moon? Well, I'm off to bed, hopefully tomorrow will be more productive and less destructive. Good Night.
