Fuck you, Kevin Rose!
Dear Kevin Rose & Digg.com,
Since your "contact us" page just gives me an error message that says, "You cannot send more than 50 messages per hour. Please try again later." when I'm just trying to send *1 message* - here is my feedback...:
Wow, you guys *monumentally* messed up the site. I can't go to the new digg.com and see the filtered categories I want to see with the settings I had set for years. Now I'm stuck seeing all the crap I don't want to see, such as entertainment and sports, mixed in with actual news. There's no bury options anymore or related articles - WTF?! Your "viewing digg" settings are a joke - I want to set viewing categories not "open in another window" -hello 2004- [what about tabs?]. I hate the 'my news' section and it's extremely annoying that it loads first instead of the actual digg. I don't want to "follow" people to see the news categories I want or just the stories they like. Where are the upcoming stories?
I love Love *LOVE* you digg - the old digg, the good digg, the digg that worked and looked great. I was here with you damn near every day for years and years. I've spent hours and hours a day on digg. Far too much time than what's probably healthy, but I loved you so very much. We had such good times. Fun times, serious times and even cuddle times. Now, I can't stand even a few minutes with you. Not only does the new digg not work right and not work as good as the old digg, it looks horrible. You went from t-shirt-and-comfy-jeans to 1983-far-too-much-blue-eyeshadow-crack-whore over night! I actually hate the new digg enough to leave and not come back. I tried the beta and every link I clicked logged me out, so that was worthless, but at least I still had the good digg that worked and was intuitive and had settings that made sense and was oh-so-awesome. Now it's just crap. A huge stinking pile of light blue crap. By the way, the typing in light blue on white - really, *REALLY* not a good idea. Please, for the love of all that's good in this world and even for the love of the evil in this world, give us the previous digg back. *PLEASE!* I want my digg back -digg that was in my Top 3 Favorite Sites on all of the internets- not some craptastic, poorly done knock-off of facebook and twitter.
I feel like I've lost a BFF. You were always there for me, digg, and I knew I could always count on you, but now you've become someone I don't recognize and can't trust.
Now I must go mourn ... and probably go back to Fark.
