Quick poll - Organ donation v. Thinning the herd

For as long as I can remember I have been a proponent of organ donation. I have also been a strong proponent of population control. My cousin said to me a few years ago that she is not an organ donor because of her beliefs on population control. This made sense to me. Since then I have gone back and forth between believing organ donation is a good thing and it being against survival of the fittest and population control. What are you thoughts on this?
