Well this week I ordered quite a few things, really.
First of all, I bought the Spring issue of Spin-Off. It looked like a good issue with lots of articles. It is, but stuff I've yet to really learn like weaving.
The next thing I ordered was
this book. It's called Intertwined. Lately novelty yarns are starting to peak my interest. ;) My next book purchase may be Spin Control, but not sure just yet.
Next, Natalie (cloudlover69.etsy.com) had listed her next dose of her
3 month fiber club, which still have some spots to be filled. I already had a single dose, but now that pay day rolled around I bought the second dose. ;) So we'll be getting two braids from Natalie and Brie (theurchiness.etsy.com) each month! Hooray! From Natalie's
cloudlover.com I ordered two braids of Decay. I've got some scraps for these braids. :)
Also from Brie I bought some Peacock! Love those colors. I don't know what's happening, but my tastes are going from warm dark colors to spunky cool colors. Sheesh! lol
I've also ordered small Bee Bars in natural and lavender scents. These were ordered in a 4-pack set. One of the ladies at
Wool, Warp and Wheel discovered that she could use this to moisturize her hands while spinning and NOT maiming her handspun yarn. How cool is that! Honey House is the company that makes it, but I found mine at a different location and with a bulk discount for the 4-pack. That place is
Blue Moon Goods. Now I have little goodies to give away as gifts for my nth sale or drawing.
While at
Wool, Warp and Wheel I bought banana silk fibers! Holy cow are they heavy little skeins. lol They stock
Frabjous Fibers. That's always some nice stuff. :) There I also picked up some different stuff from their sale bins for scrap inclusions to sell in the shop. Yeah!
Right now I have Brass Petals from Natalie on my wheel. I am trying to get a bulky weight. It takes a lot of practice because before it was all about how thin I could make it. I hope to have it off my wheel by the end of the day. I'm about half way through the braid, so it shouldn't be a problem. Then it's on to Cyprus for my first scrap inclusion yarn.
For now it's off to finish eating and getting ready for my day job.
Oh & BTW - I've lost 9.2 lbs now! Went over to Weight Watchers yesterday and weighed in...awesomesauce!
