I Live in a Lonely Little World
I realized today that on certain issues, beliefs, and interpretations of our nations powers...I stand alone. I always feel like I am pushed aside when everyone gets on their soap box about such matters and I tend to listen but remain tight lipped about my own thoughts. Sharing doesn't lead to a happy ending.
Why is it that those who disagree think that their ways of thinking are the ONLY way, and I am the misunderstood idiot who doesn't join them? Is it a right or wrong path we must take? Who even knows what is the right one?
My choices are valid and I at least can explain them besides just shouting mean insults to the other party for believing in their beliefs. We have freedom to choose, so why do I stand alone and get ridiculed by those who have that same freedom?
I respect those who choose differently because I am proud of that great ability. But I refuse to be downgraded and deciphered as an idiot for my stances. I have a basis for my beliefs and for those who ridicule I ask all of you this.....do you choose your beliefs and stand by them based on your knowledge or do you just demean those who have the guts to stand up and decide differently because they research, learn, and decide for themselves?
Is it something you can't handle because you spread word vomit that was spoon fed into you?
In case you are completely lost on the above, I was ridiculed today for my views on current politics and our leaders in government. I will not divulge my standings here because I wish for all of you to take the above and really think about it without the label of one side or the other. Do you stand on my sideline for your beliefs regardless of what they are? Or are you the one that jumps at the chance to bash those who think and vote differently? Last time I checked we all lived together all working for the same thing. We may believe differently, but we all fight to survive in such a disheartening and judgmental world.
