I usually don't post reviews or thoughts on shows after I've watched them, or at least not in-depth ones, but this has been bothering me since I watched last night's Numb3rs.

I saw this movie 'Rendition' which this episode reminded me of. About how our government disappears foreign nationals because of exactly the type of tenuous link to terrorists this episodes focused on. Very scary what some will do in the name of protecting the US.

I thought it was a great episode and really shows how the standard practices in the scientific community are very different from the way the FBI and other agency's view those activities.

The scientific world depends on cooperative collaboration around the globe. I thought that Charlie did the right thing and most likely it was the only way to help his friend. They might put the other Doc in jail just to prove a point (the FBI is never wrong) but they wouldn't jail Charlie.

I am excited for next year because the conflict with Don should make for good drama.

I was sorry to see Megan go too. Poor Larry.

Yeah, the conflict with Don should be good next year - *if* they continue with it. They may decide to sweep it under the rug or write it off as something else, which I think would be a shame. But they also can't let it carry on for the entire year.

It was just weird for me to watch an episode and actually be on Charlie's side of the argument (I watch too many cop shows, this I know). I really liked the other Doc's replies to why he emailed his research to 'foreign hostile powers'. It was something along the lines of 'what do you mean 'hostile countries'? they're colleagues?' and the government agents just could not comprehend. It was like they were speaking two different languages, which I kinda think they were.

And as much as I am loath to see Megan go, at least they did it in a completely believable way - this has been building since last season. I'm just worried that this gives them an opening for Larry to leave at some later point.

I'm a bit of a Charlie girl. I have always preferred him over Don but then I love the hair - my big weakness.

As much as I thought the Govt agents were asses, I understood why they were acting the way they did. Plus having someone who didn't know the history of Charlie's work was much better than having Don doubt Charlie. You could tell Don was torn between knowing that his brother is rarely wrong and the general paranoid mentality of the govt these days.

And on a completely unrelated note - Did you see the Moonlight from last week? - Our boy "Ezra" played the psycho killer. Squeed like a fan girl and my family just looked at me funny

I'm more of a Don girl, mostly because of the weaponry (I have a gun kink).

And I agree, they played the conflict very well this episode, though I do wish they'd spent more time on Charlie's rebellion instead of flashing through it.

No! I didn't see Moonlight this week. I was nursing a headache and only turned on the tv for Numb3rs. I will have to download that when I get the chance! Was he awesome as a psycho killer? :)

I kinda wish that they hadn't rushed through Charlie's rebellion at the end of the episode, though. I agree, he did what he did for a good reason, but it was also done kind of quickly. They sped through his arrest and stripping of his security. Next season will be very interesting if he can no longer help the FBI.

I'm gonna miss Megan too. I can understand the actress wanting to spend more time with her baby though.

I totally agree with you. They should have drawn Charlie's rebellion out some more, but I guess they were running long on time, what with the false accusations and what-not.

I don't think that they'll string out Charlie's lack of security clearance for too long, simply because the show is about a mathematician helping the FBI to solve crimes.

I was terribly sad to see Megan go, but I was glad that they'd made it believable. They've been building up to this all season, and it really came as no surprise, despite how much everyone loved her. I think Megan grew as a character because of it, which makes me happy. :)

I'm actually sitting upright now without feeling too dizzy. Definite progress. It just sucks that I had to get sick on the weekend, as opposed to during the week. What's up with that??
