WARNING EXCEEDINGLY LONG AND VERBOSE POST!It's been (quite) a while since my last update... A lot has and hasn't happened that was worth blogging about, though I always got lazy and just never got around to writing about it... I'm the writer who is too lazy to write. Hmm... Well I've started reading Middlemarch by George Eliot this week and it's been pretty good, though I'm only still less than 100 pages in. Very Victorian, and more complex than Austen. I think everyone tends to say that Eliot was one of the great social critics along with Dickens of the time, so there's a bit of that vibe too. And I get the vibe that she's not really into happily ever afters, but I guess only time will tell... Tiff recommended Paper Towns by John Green to me, and after reading about 50 pgs in the bookstore this afternoon, it seemed pretty good, if you're into teen/young adult fiction. Haha, I was actually just about to write a post about my bookish interests!

Hmm... I can't really judge B&N since I don't go that often. I think I'd go more often if they offered free membership though, cause whenever I have the choice between Borders/B&N, I'll always go to Borders because they'll have sent me a 30% off coupon via email. I've also gotten books practically for free from their member rewards program! As for inventory, I really think it depends on the location. The one back home is huge and well-stocked, but the one here (it's actually called Bookstar/B. Dalton for some reason, though it's in essence B&N- has same membership and coupons) is rather lacking in some sections.
