OKAY. I'm kind of sick so this may not be as in depth as it could be, so if I mention random details in later posts it's cause my brain isn't working properly.
Sososo agh. I guess I'll start at the beginning. (Excluding the drive over, cause that's a stupid, boring story.)
The bed and breakfast was stayed at was the NICEST DAMN PLACE EVER. It was ridiculous. It's this old house (oldest house in Arizona) run by this gay couple, and they're the only two employees and they are AWESOME. I totally would have just wanted to hang out with them if I could have and if it wouldn't have been awkward.
Anyway, it had a great pool, a kitchen that was open 24/7 that you could just go into and take drinks and fruit and basically whatever you wanted, a phone that had FREE INTERNATIONAL CALLING WHAT, and they serve effing gourmet breakfast that THEY make with things THEY grow in their garden and just. What. Craziness. I'm going back one day to hang out for a longer time because damn. They were awesome.
SO. We get there a little later than we had hoped, so after rushing through a shower and my make up for The Rumor, I throw on my costume and run over to the venue, which was about four really short blocks away.
Doors opened at 6:30, so we didn't wait in line long, and we had pretty good places in the pit for a long time, but... Usually I can deal with the pushing and shoving and squishing, but I really wanted to SEE MCR, not spend half the time trying to keep myself upright. (And they were being RETARDED to my mom, cause she was NOT going to let anyone push past her, so they were pinching her and pulling her hair and she'd just smile at them but I was ready to punch some bitches. I tried to but could squirm myself around enough to get at them.) So, we got ourselves out of the pit and found a really nice place in the back where we could see everything well but weren't being crowded. (Small venue, so it was still a good distance.)
Drive By and Billy Talent were okay but probably nothing I'd invest my time in. A lot of what Billy Talent does is the kind of screaming I'm not so much into? But a couple of songs were GREAT to dance to.
Thenthenthen. They came.
The show was great and I loved it and it was AWESOME because they played all the songs I wanted them to play but didn't think that they would (Kill All Your Friends, Heaven Help Us, Headfirst for Halos), but there was something... wrong. Gerard wasn't singing as much as he was speaking the lyrics a lot of the time and he wasn't all that energetic and his voice sounded a little odd when he talked. Frank wasn't as jumpy-around as I have been told/watched him be, but he told me later that his neck was really killing him that day, so. BUT Mikey Way was being super awesome and he put the set list together and yes. Stuff. I was in the back jumping and throwing my arms around and headbanging and dancing around like I wasn't two inches away from someone and constantly about to knock into them. I was one of the only ones in the back dancing until near the end of the concert.
They didn't have an encore, and I had a feeling they weren't going to (again, seemed like something was up. D: ), so I dragged mom out, who was flabbergasted by the lack of an encore, to wait near the buses for someone to come out. After a while of waiting around, the security guy came by and said he was gonna bring Frankie out but he didn't have a lot of time so there wouldn't be any picture taking. (I couldn't help but get the feeling they had Frank come out because everyone else was all "Rawr. >|" but hey. What do I know.)
I wasn't going to have him sign anything, but when I told my mom that she was like "But they expect it, don't they?" so I got out my ticket. I was at one end of the fence, and he started up on my side, so when he came over I was like "Do you happen to have a Sharpie?" and he held his up and said "I do! I do, actually. Here~" and took my ticket to sign.
Guys. He was so freaking nice.
I was kind of concerned, so I asked "Did you have fun tonight?" and he was all "Yeah, I did~ My neck's just been fucking killing me. ::Laughs.::" And I think I might have went "Awww D:" or something. Then, because I had to ask, I kind of stepped back and said "So, do you recognize me?" and he looked at me and grinned. "Yeah! I love what you did with that." And pointed to my vest. He was about to move on so I very quickly threw out "Thank you for playing the B-Sides and Headfirst for Halos!" and he waved and said "Thank you for coming! And drive home safe."
And then I walked off and tried not to die the rest of the night.
So yes. Trip Overall: A+
I want their new CD to be out already. ;_; But now to ready myself for many Panic dates! I have two meet&greets so far, what the hell.
