Summit Entertainment

It has recently come to my attention that you and Catherine Hardwicke have come to a parting of way in the Twilight Franchise. While I respect Miss Hardwicke's work, and appreciate the meaty effort she put into bringing Twilight to the big screen, I think New Moon, like the book itself, is an opportunity for real artistic revelation, the start of great new things to come.

Therefore, I toss my hat into the ring. Summit Entertainment, you should hire me, Rebecca J Stokes to direct New Moon. Look, I may be a virtual unknown, but think of the panache that would bring when it comes to publicity. Between you me and the wallpost, I don't exactly lack experience having dipped my toes in the television pool, so I can assure you that I know the basics and the crucial - 90%  of being a good director is surrounding yourself with people who share your vision and who are much much much more talented than you are. I am SO prepared to do that.
I'm a college grad, I'm pursing my Masters, I know the books in and out.

I also know - most importantly - how to make this story accessible to mass audience. There's a reason this collection of books struck a chord, and I think the screenplays and films have the potential to reverberate even further if only you will place me at the helm of this journey.

New Moon is arguably the most challenging chapter of the Twilight saga, we lose Edward for a large chunk of the tale and we've got to establish Jacob and his kin in a way that makes us empathize with them but not forget bella's fella.

Most importantly, I would strive to create for Kristen Stewart a Bella who is not a cipher but a vivid challenging identifiable woman - give Stewart a real chance to spread her wings.

I cannot over emphasis the degree to which I would
1.) Change Jacob's Weave. (seriously, he looks like my friend Alex.)
2.) Change the Vampire's Makeup (because. Seriously.)

As a final note, I would only charge you 50 dollars and ask that my housing my taken care of. While this may read as a joke Summit, I think you should call me. Or email me. Because together we can save this Franchise.
