Notes: Got the most wonderful idea from
calorie_zero's story,
Dahila and
loulacakes' one shot,
God Condones Homosexual Behaviour. So, the story line may seem similar to both of those stories, so credit goes to them if it does seem so. x_x
Underneath a series of clothing, lay Ruki's heart; beating softly in his ribcage - fighting for survival as it tried to pump as much blood a possible to the rest of the young man's body. Skipping beats, it brought slight pain to the him as he flinched every now and then; but over time he had gotten use to it as it happened closely to the day he was born. The red coloured bricks of the building in front of him stood out while he sat in the alley, paint was slowly chipping off and blowed away by the breeze. Ruki wished he could have been like that, to be free and had the wind take him to places he had never seen before - he couldn't do that now because of his uncontrolable heart problem.
Glancing left, he notice people of all ages and sizes walking on the side walk, trying to reach their destination. He saw a family go by as he sucked his teeth in disgust. All his life, he grew up with no one to care for him, to yell at him if he did something stupid. Seeing that family, made him realize that he would never get anything like that - not even if he made them one thousand dollars.
Leaning his head back on the wall he was currently resting at, he stared at the sky; thinking about his parents. He couldn't even remember what they looked like, though they must have been quite beautiful to give him these pretty features. Often times at night, walking by himself on the streets could be slightly dangerous, seeing how one time a group of men mistook him for a woman and tried to get his phone number. Even though he felt embarrassed, he felt slightly proud of himself by getting so many phone numbers in one night; but sadly he knew he couldn't call them; because he didn't own a single phone.
Snapping out of his gaze, he heard a faint "click" drop next to him. Looking over his shoulder in curiosity, his eyes widened as he saw a silver cell phone appear next him out of the blue. What a conwinsidence. Looking around to see where it had came from, he notice a slightly older man with blond hair, playfully fighting with another man; assuming that it was his friend. The blond hair cursed at himself, searching in his pockets of where his cell phone went and lightly shoved the brunette one away saying to him if he losted his cell phone, he had to get him a new one.
Ruki's eyes averted back to the silver phone infront of him, wondering if he should be nice enough to tell him that it was over here, or take it from himself. A faint blush appeared on his face as the brunette pointed to his direction, telling the blond that it was over here. Shifting slightly, he forgot how to breath as the man turned around to try and spot his object that he was looking for. Ruki had to admit, he was about as beautiful has he was. Lips slightly parting, he noticed how the blond walked over to where he was, bending over to pick up his cell phone, strands of hair falling over his eyes, only to jump slightly; finally realizing that there was another hand next to his siliver object.
"What the-?" Blonde whispered, as he his eyes trailed upward to met Ruki's gaze. Smiling softly, blonde nodded at him. "Hello there," he said.
"Uh, hey," Ruki whispered, moving his hand away as the other picked it up, putting it in his pocket.
"Reita, what's taking you so- oh", Brunette said, stopping next to Akira, "Uhm..?"
"Sorry Kai," Reita apologize to the other, "I guess noticed him here, he looks pretty lonely,"
"Are you lost, little one?" Kai asked Ruki, tilting his head to the side. Ruki pursed his lips as he slowly stood up; brushing dust from his shirt.
"I'm not little. I'm twenty - six years old," Ruki stated, giving Kai a short glare as his attention turned to Akira, noticing the same smile on his face, "Sorry if I bothered you both,"
"Oh, not at all," Akira laughed softly.
"What the hell is a model doing in a fucking alley?" Kai whispered to him. Akira simply shurgged.
"I'm not a model," Ruki said, interputting their whispers, "I'm not sure what I am actually,"
"Well, you're human aren't you?" Akira asked.
A nod. "Then you are something," he added. Ruki smiled softly at him, but soon frowned, seeing how he was slowly getting close to the two, of whom he just met. Noticing the younger one getting slightly uncomfortable, he turned to leave. "Sorry, I bet this is quite awkward for you to be talking to us, so I'll just leave."
And with that, the two left, not even giving Ruki time to say good-bye to the both of them.
