o.k. this is gonna be a long entry. so these past few days i have been working at a private household doing a Shiva (sp?) for those of you that don't know, (i sure didnt) When Jewish people lose someone, they don't believe in enbalming thier dead, so they hold the feuneral the day after. then after the feuneral (in the morning) everyone goes back to the house to have lunch, and then they hold a mini memorial service thing, and then most of the people leave, and the rest (mostly family) have dinner. Then the following day, the familly has lunch, and then more people come for more services, then dinner for the familly again, and a repeat the following day. Some jewish people have shiva for 7 days, usually only 3 though. Anyways, so that is why i havent written much, cuz i have been working the past few days. So on sunday, there were all the people from the feuneral (about 150) at the person's house for lunch, by the way, it was so sad, the young man that died was only 29. he had Pancreatic Cancer (sp?) i know, so sad . So for the 150 people there where 4 of us working, me, my mom, and two othe5r women. After everyone was finished with lunch, we cleaned up, and then went to pick up the food for thier dinner, about 20 people were there for dinner, so it was only me and my mom for. and then after dinner about 50 people came for services, and a few of them ate, cuz there was extra food. and we didnt end up leaving till 10:00. (we got there at 11:00am, i was BEAT!) and then the next day was pretty much similar familly for lunch and dinner then services, but since there were only familt for lunch, we got to leave and come back for dinner, so we went home and relaxed. And same with today, except for in the morning i was feeling like crap so i left halfway through the lunch, and went home and rested, and came back to do the dinner. we were there until 10:00 2 night too. anyways, now its over, but i don't have to work for awhile, cuz at $20 an hour, i got $500! five-zero-zero, FIVE HUNDRED! OMG! i am so happy, i have to put away some of it, i am going to start a bank account at comerica, down the street from me. koolie! anyway! OMG the house we were at was AMAZING! simply amazing! i loved it so much this is what thier house consisted of: a 2 car garage, a laundry room, a living room with a flatscreen plasma tv, a study with a flatscreen plasma tv, a HUGE amazing kitchen, a room with books and dvds and stuff biger than my bedroom with a pool table, a familly room, a dining room, a breakfast nook, bedrooms ( i i think like 5 or 6) and another room thing that led to the back yard. And then you have the BACK YARD!!!!!! it was amazing, it was huge with a hammok in the back, and a CREEK running throught the very back of the property. IT WAS AMAZING, i couldn't get over it. plus the decoration was awesome! it was the most amazing decoration ever, everything was awesome, it would fit me PERFECTLY it was random and colorful and it was great! there was just so much random stuff everywhere, i loved it.
plus, the people were very nice, constantly asking if we wanted help with the dishes, and if we wanted some water, if we wanted something to drink, if we were hot, yadda yadda yadda. sooo nice, and they were freiken generous too! they gave my mom a $400 side-tip. $400! four-zero-zero! FOUR HUNDRED! that is more than she has ever gotten before. of course it was for 3 days, she has gotten 200 for one day b4 though. anyways. my hand is getting tired from typing so much i am going to go now, have fun all yall! lol, LATER!
