not puking is a major success

Ok, so the knee surgery update. Let me prefeace this with taht any surgery for me, drives my nuts because I ALWAYS get sick the the anithesia. So I intentionally barely ate Wednesday so that there would be less for me to throw up after my srugery.

SO, I show up, they take me back, get me into the evor so unatractive gown, and I sit and wait. The surgeon comes by and signs my leg...this way they don't slice the wrong one. Then the sleep doctor comes by. Ok, so his technical title is anithesiologist, but I like sleepy doctor better. I tell him my past woes of puke, and he syas he'll do his best. WEll, his best, makes me want to marry him...ok, at least send him a thank you card. This man had the insight to put one of those nifty motion sickness prevention discs on me. It's a little sticker behind your hear, but anti-nausea drugs before surgery. So not only did I NOT throw up, but I came home and ate like a cow.

According to all the reports, my surgery went well, aside from the fact that the first thing out of my mouth was work related. So now I'm home chillin and sleeping a lot. Not too much horrid pain, at least nothing more than was expected. Now comes the exciting hcallenge of figuring out bathing. That will be my next event for today.

But let me tell ya, the ice pack thing they gave me, that's some cool shit (no pun intended). This cool wrap around cuff that cirulates water. I swear, thanks to my gimpines, that rugby med kit just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Speaking of rugby...as of a couple weeks ago, I am now acting president. Maybe now we'll actually get some shit done. Still no women's season, but I think it will be ok in the end.

Aside from that, can't think of anything exciting to speak of, hell, Im' stuck at home for a week on crutches...how much excitement can you expect?? And thanks to all who wished me luck, called, and promised interent games to keep me entertained during the week. Now it's all about trying to stay awake for periods longer than 2 hours.
