"YOU LOOK BRIGHTER"
I got what I consider a HUGE compliment at a friend's house tonight. We were having driks and food left over from last weekend's camping trip.
One person whom I know I spent quite a bit of time with did not recognize me. Granted, I had my glasses off but you can tell it's me - I mean NO ONE has hair as short as mine.
She was talking about being in a boat last weekend and I chimed in about how we thought she was lost since she was gone for 90 minutes, but they returned, and how one of the women fell in to what she thought was DEEP water that really only went up to her mid-thigh...
So this young woman says, "Do I know you?" in a way that said she did not know *how* I knew about her & last weekend as she had not met me before.
I said, "I'm Leslie." And her eyes bugged out.
She said that she did not recognize as I look SO much brighter and happier than last weekend and no, it's not just the no-glasses. I just looked really different.
"You look brighter."
That made me happy and made me realize I *am* on the right path.
