(no subject)
long time no post eh.
well i finally got back from all my adventures yesterday. i havnt really spent any lenght of time in swansea for ages, what with visiting the boyf in preston, and then staying a couple of days in london either side of sziget. its really nice to be home, i'm very much enjoying having a bit of time alone, i seem to have spent so long with lots of people around.
anyhoo. sziget was amazing. its a really amazing festival, its on its own island!! we saw some good music (gogol bordello were my favourite, along with the prodigy who were loads of fun), but mostly just had loads of fun. there was so much stuff to do, there was even arts and crafts tents. there was a silent disco, and this nuts art project thing called the luminarium. the ambiemt tent was a favourite, it was a huge tent all hung wih material so you felt like you were inside a big pillow, and played what was supposed to be ambient music but didnt sound very ambient to me. whenever you went there it was full of people in their sleeping bags, it was so nice.
it was also great to meet the friends that my friends brought along. we had such a lovely big group of people, although that did cause trouble when trying to organise anything.
the food was good and fairly reasonable. there was langos which is this hungarian fried dough, which was nice but incredibly filling. the hari krishna tent was good - free food!!
so all in all it was a success
exciting that justins coming home, its a shame it didnt work out, but it'll be so lovely to have him back.
and belindy, i reckon a fancy dress club night is a wicked idea, sounds like loads of fun
