Halt! It's the Police!

(All things considered, the officer was very accommodating of our desire to have our picture taken with the police. We did promise not to post it to the Internet though... oops.)

So, the concert was OUTSTANDING. Our seats were surprisingly decent, especially considering we were looking down from behind the stage, and the show was a complete blast to watch. The Police were really incredible, although Sting did goof the lyrics in "King of Pain" which was kind of funny. You know what was interesting to me? With the exception of the wickedly cool augmented drum kit with gongs and bells and stuff, no one was switching out instruments, which has always been kind of the norm at other concerts I've been to. There were no backup helper-monkey musicians, either. It was just the Police, and they were pretty amazing. I hope they break up and reunite again to do another tour, you know, just like the Eagles do. :)

If you're a Police fan and you didn't get tickets... boy did you miss out!

We took bad pictures and video clips, which are now on YouTube for your viewing enjoyment.

"Wrapped Around Your Finger" is probably the best video we got, and it was also one of the better songs in the setlist, in my opinion anyway. You can hear Leah and I singing along (we're the ones more on-key. In the "King of Pain" clip you can hear the people behind us laughing and singing, "That's my soul up there" at the top of their lungs, and they can't carry a tune in a bucket).

In conclusion: AWESOME.

pictures, squee!, music
