(no subject)
Managed to get the filter out of washing machine and found it contained two small buttons and a tiny bit of fluff. I removed them and then ran another wash and the water drained properly! It's weird though because I don't own anything with buttons like that so they must have been rattling around in that machine since 2012 (when my grandma was using it!) I guess they just shifted into position to make it impossible to drain? Anyway, it seems to be back in working order. So yay, that makes me very happy!
In other news, the plants came! My Mum got a bit over-excited this year and I found myself presented with twelve begonias, twelve snapdragons and six lobelias. WHAT IS THIS MADNESS, ALL THESE PLANTS, I AM NOT PREPARED etc, etc.
Oh well. I have planted them all anyway and currently they all still live! Charles, Hank, Raven, Jean, Scott, Nightcrawler, Alex, Sean and Moria are begonias and hanging out together. Then there's Apocolypse, Erik, Storm, Psyclocke, Angel and Quicksilver the snapdragons (yes, Quicksilver doesn't really belong there but someone had to fufil a snapdragon role, he can hang out with his Dad and mutter about Erik's terrible life decisions) Wolverine, Rogue and Jubilee are lobelias. Then there's Shaw, Emma Frost and Angel the begonias and Azazel and Riptide the lobelias. The other snapdragons are Tony, Steve, Natasha, Bruce, Thor and Hawkeye (I was a bit worried about them, they looked very droopy but they are still fine, except that for some reason, Black Widow and and Hawkeye are sort of falling over.)
And finally there is Lobelia Sackville-Baggins. :) She's a lobelia. Obviously.
