Plague plague plague
Ugh, I am not very well. Almost everyone in work has had some strain of this lurgy and I thought I had the milder strain except I have carried on not being very well. And carried on. And carried on. So my symptoms are mild but I've had them for a week and now I feel weak! Mind you, at least I'm not as bad as yesterday where I was mostly just staring sadly at the world. I am behind on comments and stuff though, sorry about that. I'll come back with a vengeance, promise!
Today's question -
feliciacraft wanted to know "Is there a story behind your username?"
The answer to this is "Not really." All of my user names were basically picked with the thought "That sounds pretty" in mind! When I got a Livejournal, my user name on fanfiction.net was "Empress of the Eclipse." This name was too long for LJ so I had to try and pick another one. Amazingly, Eclipse was also taken so I grabbed a baby name book and took a flick through. I couldn't find anything that meant Eclipse off the top of my head but I found the name "Lycoris" which means "twilight" in Greek. And so I picked Lycoris.
(turns out it's also a rather pretty type of flower which is good and an electrics company, which is less good!)
When I made a dreamwidth, someone already had lycoris (they've since changed their name which means I always have to remember not to type my LJ name in because it automatically redirects!) So I went with still_lycoris (because I am but also, I feel the word "still" denotes calmness and I'm always trying to be more calm and sanguine! Doesn't often work but I'm aiming for it!)
