There is a tragic Sherlock Holmes shaped hole in my life. I have now WATCHED ALL THE BOXSETS! My life is now a barren wasteland. A barren wasteland which I shall fill by watching all of my collection of Doctor Who. (or at least all the DVDs. I haven't decided yet. And where should Lost in Time fit into all this? Oh, the thought that must be put into this sort of thing!)
Anyway. Today was Day One in my new resolution to "Spend My Time Better and Stop Being Such a Lazy Cow Whilst Unemployed." This is an important resolution because being a lazy cow tends to leave me feeling increasingly depressed and yet somehow, this was not enough to force myself to stop it. So I am now bribing myself with chocolate. Yes, I am treating myself like a five year old. Might work though! Anyway, it hit a minor snag in that I overslept a bit (I blame the fact that I had a nightmare where a killer bee got into my room and I had to be saved by John Tracy ...) but luckily, I got back into my stride and have managed to do very well. Lots of original writing and Big Read reading (this counts as a useful thing cos should I ever get an interview and they ask what I've been doing, saying "I've been getting on with reading all 100 of the BBC's Big Read" sounds better than "I've been reading various glossy teen fantasy books, most of which haven't been that great.") and various things like this. I shall try to continue in this vein.
la_localfreak re-tagged me with Barnaby from Midsomer Murders! So here we are, memeing again.
01) Do you like this character?
Yes! How can anyone not like Chief Inspector Barnaby? He is charming and lovely and slightly cuddly. With twinkly eyes.
02) What name/s do you call this character?
Barnaby. Tom. Twinkly-eyes.
03) What image/color do you associate with character?
Dark blue. This is because on
la_localfreak's DVD boxset, the first shot on the menu is Barnaby in a dark blue light. With a widows peak. This is where the idea of him being a vampire first blossomed.
04. What image-song do you associate with character?
Just the theme tune I think. All together, dee-dee-de-dee-dee-de-dee-dee, dee-DE-de-dee-dee-deeeeeee.
05) What blood-type do you think this character is?
No idea. Can't be bothered trying to remember. Whichever is the plain, straightforward one.
06) Of all of the titles that this character appears in, what character do you like to put this character with?
Joyce, mostly. They are so happily married that it seems cruel to separate them. But then I move brightly onto his sergeants - Troy, Scott and Jones. However, he CRUELLY dumps Scott so not so much with him.
07) What would you want to say to this character?
"Have you ever worried about your wife's integrity? Ever wondered if perhaps she might be, I don't know, sneaking out and massacring half the village to give you jobs?"
08) What do you want to do with this character?
STOP HIM FROM LEAVING THE SHOOOOOW! *wails* And get him to acknowledge that his wife is a killer. And to watch him be a happy vampire. And to watch him with his cousin, Doctor House ...
