I’m sending my sister-in-law birthday presents next month. I don’t usually do that; they’re the ones with the money so I just send a classy card. But it’s a big number birthday.
She told me, oh, decades ago, she likes pansies and I hope that’s still true because I bought things on Etsy that feature pansies. I’m wrapping them all separately to enhance the experience. I couldn’t find just the right wrapping paper but then I thought, I have all that white shelf paper and I bought happy-colored raffia ribbon. It’ll be cute (if I don’t lose patience with the whole cutting and taping part and just fling things together. That happens).
I’m preparing for summer. I don’t have a screen front door and formerly I bought one of those mesh hanging screens that snap together with magnets, but I never put it up. Now it’s on the living room floor awaiting a warmish day for installing. I want some fresh air in here but not flies. I don’t know if the cats will figure it out, that they can bust through it, going both ways. They would never get into cat Mensa. But they do like to run in and out.
