23 - Peanut Month: do you like peanuts? Peanut butter?
I’m lucky that I’m not allergic to nuts. And I like ‘em. I usually have a jar of peanut butter in the frig. Just all of a sudden I’ll get a yen for a sandwich. I always mean to buy some butter other than peanut, like almond but I always forget.
25 - Good Hair Day: apparently GHD straighteners were invented in Yorkshire in 2001 and the GHD stands for Good Hair Day - who knew? Describe your hair. What was your hair like as a child? When do you think your hair was at its best?
My hair used to be quite nice. It went from blonde when I was young to a lovely strawberry blonde (nobody calls hair that anymore) when I was an adult.
I have two televisions that the cats broke and for some reason I dragged them with me when I moved, never having gotten around to taking them to an ewaste site. Then I found that finding ewaste sites is even more complicated here.
You have to take it to the landfill. And according to Yelp, make sure you do it early in the day because they have a quota they accept each day. Do I want to load two tvs in the car, drive somewhere I’m not sure of and deal with the guys at the dump. So, the tvs never got out of the closet.
But I recently read in the local newspaper that on the last Saturday morning of the month ewaste is collected just five minutes away from me. So in May I went to check it out but nada. I didn’t have the tvs with me because I’m not a trusting soul. I’m hoping because that was Memorial Day weekend everybody had off. I will try again this month. I took that trip before even having my first coffee. It was early and I had to put outside clothes on.
In other news, I finished an entry for ‘intoabar’. Nobody could be more surprised by that than me.
