16. Which family member did you inherit your hair color from?
The rumor was that my father's hair was red when he was young. My hair used to be redder than it is now. The thick hair comes from the maternal side.

17. What’s the average length of a shower for you?
As short as possible.

18. What’s something about adult life you were never warned of or prepared for?
How short the years become.

19. If you won the lottery, do you think any of your family members would ask you to give them some of your money?
My brother is much better off than me, but if I could buy them something special I would. I don’t see any other family but some of them might come out of the woodwork.

20. What is the craziest thing you’ve seen happen at your workplace?
It’s too long a story to write out. And it’s a kinda, you had to be there story.

21. Would you rather read a book or listen to the audiobook?
Listening to things makes me antsy.

22. Have you ever eaten snow?
When I was a kid.

23. Curtains or blinds?
We had blinds when I was growing up and they were hell to keep clean but I like the look. I have curtains.

24. Have you ever adopted a stray (cat or dog)?
My former next door neighbors were moving out and the whole family came to help, including a small child that was carrying a kitten like a toy. When they left the kitten was still there. The kid just forgot it. I heard it crying and went out and took it in. When the parents came back to look for it hours later, I didn’t say anything. That was 15 yrs ago. We’re still together. I regret nothing.

25. Do you own/wear any jumpsuits?
I have to pee too often these days for jumpsuits.

26. Do you struggle with dry skin in the winter?
It doesn’t get that cold here and my skin isn’t naturally dry.

27. Have you ever gotten angry at an employee and complained to the manager?
No.

My greed has outpaced my patience once again and I’ve started buying Detective Montalbano dvds, used if I can get them. I was going to space them out and only buy them one at a time, but I’ve accelerated the process. There’s a lot of them. I find them comfort viewing.

I’m on everybody’s mailing list so I got a solicitation letter from the Rebuilding Notre Dame campaign. The neat thing is the note cards they included with pictures of the church on them. It’s sad that I don’t write to people because my handwriting is so atrocious.

I was expecting a package from the Post Office and according to the ‘net it arrived at my town, but then it went to Nevada City (never heard of it), then to Sacramento, and now it’s back home. A whirlwind tour of Northern California. Dizzying!
