Netflix movie
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Writer: Zak Penn/Director: Louis Leterrier
In the name of completion of the Marvel U. I decided to watch this. I realize that the Hulk has many fans but I don’t see it, especially in the movies. I watched the tv series and that had a different story each week. The movie is: here, he’s going to get big and smash things.
And I was puzzled that the army can just bring war and missile-loaded helicopters onto a college campus and everybody is, okey-dokey. Surely that calls for some deep investigative reporting. I think there’s more story there than there was a really big guy!
And the villain was clichéd. But now I know where William Hurt fits in the scheme of things.
Worth watching for the Marvel knowledge.
My movie
This is the last MCU for a while. I found that I had completely forgotten the plot of this one. Except that Hawkeye and the Black Widow were on opposite sides, which was improbable.
Lots of fighting, lots. Spider kid is a nice comic relief.
Except for W. Hurt, who again is one dimensional, I thought both sides had their points. I could see how they could believe theirs was the better plan.
No doubt, I’ll forget the plot again by the next time I watch
I had to put air in the car’s tires because it sat so long, not being used. We don’t go anywhere.
