In this day and age, when the dollars does not seem to go as far, I am trying to decide where I can go for a non-work getaway. I mean, I do not have to go to some sort of hotel like in a Hitchcock movie, but I do not want to try to do something that is seen on TMZ.  I been to Europe a few times, but I would like to stay in the country I live in ( Read more... )

Seattle. Reasons:

1. Great seafood
2. Great music.
3. Great sights to see.
4. GREAT SEAFOOD!!!
5. The upper Washington wine country is very nice...
6. Close enough to Canada, you can drive up to British Columbia.
7. GREAT SEAFOOD!!!
8. Green everywhere...
and 9 through 27...

GREAT SEAFOOD!!

Enough reasons? You need more "seafood" lines?

Let me take a stab in the dark....The seafood is good there?

Have you been there? Honestly I know next to nothing (which would be as much as I know about Portlan) about the city, except it rains a lot.

I went there a few years back and I have family in Tacoma. It is beautiful up there. Mt. Ranier (sp?) is pretty cool..One of the few places you can go in the US and go sking all year around.

And there wine country is 3rd in the USA, behind Napa and up state NY wineries.

You will love it up there.

And again..great seafood...

The rain isn't as bad has people make it out to be. Kinda reminds me of London in the Fall.

Well it sounds like a good idea, but drinking wine while skiing down a rain mountain sounds like madness :-P You know me, I am sane and calm person, not into mad acts.

lAlso, SF sound wonderful too. Went there a few years back and have been meaning to go back since.

I would say come to Dallas, but there is nothing here to see (even the food sucks!!)

Thank the stars for memories of SF and Seattle!!
