Not much longer now...
I wonder what it's going to be like to get up in the morning, in a bright pretty little apartment from the early 1900's, feed the cats, grab some coffee and pack my lunch, walk a couple blocks down to the trolley stop, ride the trolley to the union, and walk across campus to class, sit down and learn about useful, hard things... go back to my office, or the beautiful CS lounge, and work on my homework and my research... making up my *own* problems and solutions. My advisor seems to attract all the social students, so it shouldn't be too hard making friends. In the evening there's places to wander, a good range of free/cheap stuff at the union, and the usual range of geeky university organizations. Then there's the trolley back to my little semi-victorian nook. Netflix, chatting with the boy, and doing it all over again. :-)
Hm, dinner on my own is gonna be the sticking point... but probably conquerable. :-)
Then the *weekends*... that's got some potential.
