Remus stood by the stove, stirring a pot of pasta sauce and a pot of pasta, switching off between them, all the while heating a bottle in a third pot. He could be doing all of it by magic, but he'd grown up in a house that was half Muggle, and when he wasn't really paying attention to what he was doing, he tended to forget the fact that he could use magic to help him.
He was getting used to multitasking like this, though. It helped him keep his mind pretty blank and kept him from worrying about what he was doing raising a child with another man, let alone raising Harry Potter with Sirius Black and therefore making matters all the more complicated. No, his mind was too preoccupied with stir the pasta so it doesn't stick and make sure that the sauce isn't too high so that it starts bubbling over and that the bottle doesn't get too hot either.
