So today was not as bad as I had feared. The pain in my ear has lessened and there was actually things to do today. Namely the "Come and be in my club" ceremony. It was 2 hrs in the freezing gym. But watching the students try and convince the curved-spine pygmy clan (my new name for the 7th graders) to join their respective clubs was interesting. The sales pitches ranged from speeches (baseball is great!) to demonstrations of prowess ( culminating in not one good move or basket made). So, all in all, pretty hilarious. By far the most interesting was the tennis team. Composed of only 6 girls, they made an impassioned plea for new members. They even did a complete skit. With laughter, imitations of famous comedians and pretty decent tennis skill.
I have only ten minutes left of work because I must make the monthly trek to the BoE. (It actually is a trek as there is a large hill/mountain on the way.) I dread the thought, as much as I want to go from the not doing of anything, I really don't want to head to the BoE. In the rain and the wind and the absolute dread that they will spring some new criticism or evil surprise on me. Ack!
That's all for now.
work?
