There's no place like home
I'm sure many of you have now heard about the water main that burst this morning, creating a large sinkhole under the south end of the University bridge. The sinkhole swallowed two cars and caused the closing of the bridge until at least this afternoon. It also backed up other traffic into the University area to the extent that my normally 15-minute bus ride took more than an hour this morning.
To make things even *more* fun, there is also a Mariner's game at 12:30 that should be letting up - oh - right around rush hour. And today is the one day of the week that I'm in class until - oh - right around rush hour. I was planning on taking the 31 to avoid the snarl caused by the re-paving project in Wallingford, but now it looks as though I really don't have any "good" options. I love when getting home becomes an adventure all on its own!
