"It's now ours: make it yours!"
My new mantra is - "it's now ours; make it yours!" Several people have beaten me to the punch in getting this news out, but I'm going to do it anyway.
THE NAME AND ARMS OF TIR MARA HAVE BEEN PASSED!
I'm almost overwhelmed. I had promised that the *minute* I heard, that I would tell the world, but since our Championships event was less than 48 hrs. away, I thought perhaps I should wait until then. I did, however, tell one of the scribes who was doing two Championship scrolls so that she could finish them properly with the arms. TRM were kind enough to let me announce it as the first item of business in court and, needless to say, the reaction was very positive. :) And let me also thank again Master Gilbert the Short for his *enormous* amount of help in getting all of the proposed submissions onto a level playing-field and doing all of the statistics. [I can barely pronounce the word, let alone do anything with them. :( ]
Now I REALLY start to 'Badger' people into using it and pulling us together under our now-official banner. I suppose, too, that now I'd better get a 'proper' Tir Mara icon for my LJ.
I did mention to the autocrat last week that the arms had not yet been officially passed, but he said he wasn't going to change the servers' tabards for anything. :) BTW, they looked *really* good and added even more to the incredible ambience of the hall. [Gotta love heraldic display! ;) ]
