(no subject)
so i just got home a bit ago from school. i stayed after for a french national honors society meeting which only last twenty minutes, but then i stayed a little bit to talk to the teacher who runs it. we talked about a lot of stuff just regarding the french program at school and whatnot. (warning for sam and shhh because i dont think i was suppose to repeat this because she was tlaking to mr. washington at the time and not me) shes going to have a meeting with the officers, which you are one of, and basically see if each person still wants his or her position still and then, if they opt not to keep it, shes going to pick new people to be those positions for the rest of the year. and if they want to keep their positions, then they must be at a meeting each week. so, sam, if its a major issue for you of getting home, then i can make sure you get a ride one way or the other.
but anyways, she was talking to me about how each person came to be an officer and i told her that each person was nominated at one of our meetings last year by a "fellow member" and then we all voted. i told her that i ran, but not as president or vice president simply because i knew i wouldn't be chosen for the fact that i didnt really know anyone. and she said that she really wants me to be president next year because at the last meeting i was actually bringing up ideas and whatnot and sees a lot of leadership qualities in me. im not trying to brag or anything, but it was just something that was really nice to hear. it made me feel good about myself and was really motivating too. like, makes me want to be more involved with stuff at school.
so, i've decided im going to try and gear my boss-like tendencies to thing that are more productive. also, in this process, im going to work on being less agressive in doing so.
im trying you guys. i know this may sound drastic to those of you who don't know me so well, but its amazing how one little compliment makes you want to make some potential life alterating changes....in my case, improvements.
and i got my report card. its really funny seeing my quarter grades vs. my midterm grades. its pretty funny:

for algebra, it was like three pages long and i got every single one right up to the last page, which only had three problems on it but each was worth 30 pts. didnt finish last page because i ran out of time. hour and a half. french, only reason why my grade is as good as it is is because we had a curve. and philosophy would have been higher but this 5 paged paper we had to write for half our test grade he decided not to count because so many people didnt have it.
ok yea im done. waaaaay too long.
