(no subject)
i was in a slump a few weeks ago.. no car, nowhere to go but class, work, and volunteering. busy schedule.. but i hadnt seen my friends in a while.. and i missed them.
but this past week or so has been great! last friday: robert picked me up from work, and the plan was to go watch a movie. but pirates was already sold out =/ since we were already at the mall, he needed to buy cologne. after that..we ended up eating some really yummy chinese food. saturday: kim picked me up from work, and we went to karen's. PBB (erica, karen, kim, jenn, and me) were all there. we watched music videos, went on a taco bell run, played scrabble andd talked. analyzing and whatnot. some of those music videos were crazy.. snatch the cat back. hahasunday: got a call from sean after work. he picked me up, after a brief visit at my sister's where he played with my nephew while i was taking care of the baby. then it was off to kim's house...then starbucks, where we played boggle and scrabble. don't worry sean.. kim and i just happen to be board game masters, you'll get better with some practice. note of advice: the tangerine shaped cookies at starbucks look cute, but they dont taste that great. i wasnt a fan of the pomengranate frapp either... the whole time, kim thought sean was leaving for hawaii. he wasnt, but we didnt tell her that. on the way home, sean danced in the car. good times. monday: i rode with manuel to&from mt. sac. tuesday: elyse & sheryl picked me up from class. went back to my house and waited for jackie & jenn. we waited foreverrr.in the meantime, we watched FRIENDS & my debut video & ate turon. finally, it was off to dinner, at downtown disney. we were SO hungry, but the wait at rainforest was an hour and a half =/ we walked around all the shops and noticed all the tourists. got followed by some weird guy. spent about half an hour playing in the rainforest store with all the stuffed animals. good food, and good waiter. you really are paying for the scenery. the thunderstorms are kinda scary. afterwards, we saw some fireworks on our way to haagen-daz so elyse could get her coffee ice cream. "chis-mis" in the car. wednesday (yesterday): volunteered in the morning at city of hope. class was cancelled, so stacy picked me up and we were off to huntington!...after a few stops. we caught up with each other's lives in the car to and from all these places. first, she has to get allergy shots. then we went to mervyn's cuz she needed a swimsuit. then costco, cuz i was hungry. then we picked up ortee & steph :D it made me happy, all of us bums goin to the beach, FINALLY. (the only one missin was pam) we got there around 5 and chilled for about 2 hours. the weather was perfect. and it wasnt too crowded. when justine and i went down to the water, we saw the lifeguard doing his job. no one was drowning, but i guess some people went out too far, and they didnt have boards. but mann, that lifeguard looked pretty hot diving under the waves ;) we also watched the birds that were poking around in other people's food that they had left on their blankets. later, we stopped by the shops near the pier. got questioned by some people that were in a scavenger hunt. then got food at some mexican place.. not alberto's.. it was another name. then we decided we needed tables, so it was off to irvine. haha... all the way to irvine, just for tables. i'd never been there, so it was like an adventure. then it was time to go home.
its been an awesome week so far. but now i have class at 3 today, and homework i still have to do =/ ans scholarships i need to find. its fun to play, but its not so fun when you remember all the work that still needs to be done after the play.
