I started this new diet I like to call a healthy lifestyle... Yeah, I'm almost back down to the weight I was when I moved to Dover 4 years ago. I've dropped about 30 pounds. And let me just say, it feels good. :)
i have yet to actually excercise yet, which could be something as small as walking an hour a day three times a week or something.
but as far as eating right, record and count calories in what you eat for the next few days, then gradually start reducing your calorie intake. i dropped mine to 1400, then to 1200 and i know, it seems like a small amount, but if you eat the right things, it really isnt bad. we like salad here in the household now. there are almost no calories in that. you just have to look at everything, and record everything. some nice low calorie alternatves to common foods? trade eggs for egg whites or egg beaters. "light" wheat bread (still important to get the proper nutrition). prepackaged deli meats instead of store cut, you know what youre eating - anything sugar free, fat free, cholesterol free is bound to have fewer calories. REAL rolled oats oatmeal instead of the prepackaged flavors - it makes such a difference. low sodium or low salt is good too. i could go on and on and on but those are the basics. uhm. yeah. haha. you should start writing in here again. livejorunal rocks the worlds socks. :)
