Three Great Things;
1. Shannon (tmcm)'s opera (Too Much Coffee Man Opera) opened last night; a bravura performance, all around.
Very funny writing, well-arranged and deftly-performed music, great performances from the stars. The audience ate it up. I'm very happy for him, he poured his heart into it, and it shows. Went with puncher, and met up with never_here for the after-party. Much carousing followed.
2. Got my show cards from Kaebel (arashikami) for my Sequential Art showing. They look great, as expected, Kaebel always comes through on the promotion.
Arrived at Sequential Art to find Kaebel drenched, literally, in red paint, the walls covered in bloody handprints, the windows boarded up with notices of official quarantine. Ah, art. Throw in the Stumptown Comics Fest and the HP Lovecraft Film Festival, visits and returnings from old friends abroad, October is shaping up to be one hell of a month.
3. I now own every episode of MST3k ever, thanks to kastofsna. Season one through season ten. Mike and Joel, Comedy Central and Scifi. All of 'em.
Now the only question is how I schedule watching the entire show in sequence. Do I watch three episodes a week for a year? One episode a week for three years? One a night for 176 days? As Tom Servo once quipped, "These are the kinda problems you wanna have."
