was so tasty...

we started off with Feta & Elies - imported Espiros feta with country mixed Greek olives & herbs
The large green olives were especially strong flavored, but I adored them nonetheless...

I got Kakavia - stew of Pacific cod, Manilla clams, prawns with trahana & citrus essence
it also had a tasty cous cous mix in the center of the soup bowl, ontop of the yummy cod. The broth in the stew was the best thing! I nearly melted when I tasted it!

e got Kokinisto me Manestra - aromatic braised lamb shank over orzo served with myzithra cheese
The presentation of this dish was key. It was just this large lamb shank on the bone, and the meat was so tender, that cutting into it made most of it fall off the bone. E said eventually, it just was too strong of a taste of lamb.

Dessert was very good as well. We had a rice pudding with pears soaked in some sort of pear sauce. (It was one of the best rice puddings I've ever had, almost as good as the rice pudding at Passage to India, but there terribly different from each other). The other dessert we had was a chocolate cake with ginger ice cream (the chocolate cake wasn't that great - the best chocolate cake was at Left Bank where the warm chocolatey goodness oozes out of the cake). The ginger ice cream was amazing, I must see if asian supermarkets sell something like that.

I must warn you all to beware of the Greek coffee. It's so gritty, it's very gross. the top was ok.

The service was spectacular. The waiter even gave e an extra glass of wine on the house so that he would have something to drink while he finished his lamb.
