Ramblings...

After the Pizza Night on Friday, I slept in late on Saturday morning to recover from the prior week. I had a great time while my parents were around but I seem to experience a great lack of sleep while the family is around. I spent yesterday cleaning a up a bit, doing some grocery shopping and prepping for lunch today. I was hosting the youth leaders meeting for planning this afternoon, I made Chicken Fajitas and guacamole, apparently they were a hit. The meeting went well too, it was short and productive.

I've had a great time getting to know the other leaders and the kids and develop relationships with them over the last couple of months. I'm a shy person by nature, and while I've grown and overcome a good bit of this, it's still a little unerving to me. However, God has been faithful when I have opened up and let people in.

Jason and Jordan a couple close to my age that I have been working with are great. They came over on Friday for the pizza night, and then this afternoon. Each of us has a pass to Cypress Gardens, kind of like a mini theme park, but they have had some great concerts there that are free with park admission. Simple Plan was playing there this evening, and they invited me to come along with them. I was glad, I really liked Simple Plan, however I am sort of a closet fan, a lot of their listeners are like 13 year old girls, I don't really care, the guys are probably my age anyway. So, we went walked around the park, saw the new Nature's Way exhibit, all kinds of animals, there was a beautiful black jaguar. We sat in the concert area and listened to a few songs from their set, I was surprised how well they sounded even at the back of the ampitheater back by the bleachers. From others who have seen concerts there, normally the sound is terrible that far back, but they sounded great.

After that we went on a few small coasters, and I found out that Jason doesn't like to ride rollercoasters, he just doesn't seem like the type of person to dislike them, he is Mr. Wild and Crazy even more than Rob S. Anyway, he use to work at a theme park and that is part of the reason.

Also, I've talked to a guy on Myspace from Southeastern on AIM, he gave me his phone number. He told me to call him around 10 AM tomorrow so if I wanted to meet up with him he could structure his day to do so should he be busy. I'll admit that I don't meet a lot of guys my age in my current routine, but I don't really want to start hanging out at bars to meet guys. I just don't think I'm gonna find what I'm looking for at one of those. So I can't decide if I should call him or not to see if we could hang out, this is so way out of character for me, any suggestions????
