many a moment
to keep to myself
rejoice and break all over again
memories and melodies
the only remedies
to shun those moments left untamed and untouched
those that i have yet to feel
i worry, they will be the fiercest to heal
air outside is cold and thin
no longer the bare foot weather
soles of my feet are dry and tears my skin
and the aroma of fire places begin
and it seems that i've been in this position before
