Let's fic again like we did eons ago.
So, um, yeah. I might have ficced again. *blushes*
In my defense, the prompt Christmas carols in October should be a crime at
comment_fic on LJ spoke to my very soul.
You see, every year my favorite radio station starts playing Christmas music the first week of November. And to add salt to the wound, they stop playing it the day after Christmas. Seriously? Why not at least play it 'til New Year's while everyone's mostly still in the holiday spirit? At least, that's what they've done for the past many years.
This year, though? Middle of October! Seriously?! I don't know if it's because of Covid and they wanted to pay their DJ's less, or if they thought it would distract their listeners from the realities of the pandemic, or what the hell their reasoning is, but gorramnit! It was the middle of f'ing October! Can we just not? Needless to say, I switched the station. Now that it's December, I might switch back, but haven't yet. We'll see...
But anyway, when I saw the prompt, I had a feeling Lucifer might feel the same way, so, yeah... I ficced again. Kind of like when I first started writing Firefly fic and the bunnies just kept coming. :) Feels good to be inspired again.
