Being a very blessed person, I decided that on this my seventeenth birthday I would list seventeen of the countless things I am grateful for on a daily basis. (They're in no real order.)
My family- who are amazing and funny and I love very much, even though they get on my nerves at times.
My friends- Without whom, I would be miserable. They make me laugh and make even such awful places as school enjoyable.
My home- I really like where I live. It's big enough that we don't have to drive an hour to get to a movie theater, but small enough that the traffic isn't so bad that it takes an hour to get there anyway.
Vacations- They're necessary. Even God rested.
My health
Air Conditioners- I'm so glad I didn't live before these became commonplace. Seriously, I'm weak. I wouldn't have made it.
Stephenie's Quote of the Day from Eclipse- they tease and laugh at me, and have boosted my excitement for this book to an empire state building-like height. She's so great for doing this.
Fandoms (including fanfiction, fanvideos, etc.)- for all their wonderousness and connecting me to others who obsess in a way similar to my self.
Books- "You live a thousand lives when you read a thousand books" or something like that. I'm grateful for all the books that have entertained and moved me, and those that have caused me to look at something in a different way.
Music- Because I would be crazy without it. I need music. haha.
Harry Potter- because it was Harry's awesomeness that introduced me to fandoms and so much more. And I will love them forever for it, no matter what happens in the last book. *sigh*
iPod/iTunes- because it makes finding new and more music easy and allows you to carry it with you always. Awesome.
YouTube- haha. From fanvideos to author interviews and many more frightening things, YouTube has them. It entertains and horrifies me.
Musicals- They combine to of my favorite things: characters and song. Making every song have an emotion behind it. I think this is why I love them. Or maybe it's just because I was raised on them. Whatever.
Blogs- I read several regularly and they make me laugh, and discuss things I wouldn't have thought of otherwise.
Re-runs- Of Friends, Grey's Anatomy, House, King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, Boy Meets World... They entertain me and let me read my summer-reading books during the commercials.
The ice-cream cake my mom bought me- enough said. haha
I saw Harry Potter at the midnight showing Tuesday night. Despite everything, I think this is my favorite. But I'm still(like many others) mad about the Sirius ending. Grrr. That is NOT what happened. Ach, well.
have a good weekend!
