Start off with base:
Then, I googled "star nebula" and found a nice purple one and cropped it down to 100x100.
Copy and paste the stars ontop of base and set the star layer to "screen".
You'll get this:
Then, using Arial Black add "ND". Go into the blending properties for the layer, and bevel it a bit, add a gradient overlay, and a 1px stroke in a dark purple.
Then, finishing touches, add a white "X" inbetween the N and D, and then some small text underneath.
