We have such a weakening economy, and are seeing an increase number of people unable to pay for their health care, that change is happening within the health system. All those abundance of meetings that once were the standard and the routine, and helped designate you as an engaged employee are going to the side. They still take place but not as frequently. What was a monthly meeting is now bimonthly or quarterly. What used to have representatives from every unit, now has delegates that represent 2 or 3 units. All in the effort of cutting out an abundance of paid hours, but in true revelation has the ability of getting the same quality of productivity done. I must say that I am very proud that we are keeping the care provided to our patients central and core to our structure. The harsh reality though is that when the overall economy starts effecting the healthcare industry, one seen as one of the most stable fields to be in, it is not a good indicator as to what is to come. Hang on friends as I think we are all in for quite the roller coaster ride. Lets build our friendships up, and make them stronger, as we are going to need each other to keep ourselves uplifted to get through the hard times coming.
