So I am watching the news and the reporter was riding the bus to remember Rosa Parks. Cute. Then the anchor makes the following statement:

"There were young people on the bus Mark...did they know who Rosa Parks was?"

Maybe it is because I went to school in black neighborhoods. Maybe it is because I went to Martin Luther King Jr Junior High. Maybe it's because I went to college. That question seems to me akin to
"Have kids today heard of George Bush?"
I'm not saying that Ms. Parks (rest her soul) is or should be more recognized than a president or other world leader but give the children of today (and their educators as well for that matter) a little credit.

No offense to anyone who knows a news anchor but this also reminds me of the anchorwoman in Omaha who once said

"I'm glad to be back, as you know I was gone for a few days after injuring my hand while jogging"

How do you hurt your hand jogging?
