http://wow.poetryslam.com/images/2009scoresfirstnight.pdf Here's a link to the scores. And Scott Woods has up the top 13 in order.
I was an amazing night. I was in the second bout at a place called Cliff Bells and got to see a lot of favorites duke it out in the first--Rachel, Gypsy, and Theresa Davis set the stage on fire.
My bout was fierce and people blew me away--if I start naming names, I'll inevitably leave out someone who deserves to be mentioned. I'm with three of the same women tonight.
I felt really good onstage, with pieces very close to my heart. Took 7th with Mini-Cooper, but unfortunately 12 with Railroad. So I have a 19. It would be cool to beat myself on that tonight, but I know it's just a game.
Losing with Railroad was softened by the fact that I got several very complimentary remarks about it, and at the time also did not realize I was actually the very last. I don't really follow the scores that intently.
Tonight I'm in an early bout. It will be good to relax while watcing the next one.
