I godda job! Yay! and it's the kind of job that I've always wanted to have. I'm fulfilling life-fucking goals here in Australia. I'm training for a marathon and I have this spectacular job! YAY!
If you want to find out more you can just post a comment and then I'll give you more details about this mysterious J-O-B.
Let's see... so here are some people I know:
Michael, Matthias, Suzzanne- two Germans and a Swede who I was going to live with but then I kind of screwed them over b/c I found this nice place to live with Bruce. We're all going to "BIG GAY DAY" which is in downtown Brisbane on Sunday. I'm pretty excited about it. I've never been to a pride-fest type event but I think it'll be really fun. There are parades and drag shows and everything
Shannon- an Australian guy who just moved to Brisbane with his partner and doesn't have any friends yet but his partner is buying a restaurant within the next six months and is currently a chef at the very hip... I forgot the name.
Jay- an Australian guy who was raised on a farm and is, what I would think, a quintessential Australian. I told him how noone makes garlic and onions sauteing in olive oil smell as good as my dad does, and he said, "Maybe it was the odor of it wafting past his armpits that makes it so unique." Last night he went and had Chinese food in fortitude valley... which is where my new job is... in fortitude valley
Georgia- an Australian girl who was really friendly but I invited her to see the movies with me and she never called back. I think I'll forgive her though, because she seems really nice and like a fun person to go on a picnic with or something like that
Sarah- an Australian girl who is a complete powerhouse. She has 4 jobs and is taking 2 university classes and she also has 1.5 boyfriends and she just throws things off like, "Oh yeah, there's that one time the old man flashed me" and then changes the subject abruptly before you can flesh out what really DID happen when the old man flashed her. It's priceless. And she's VERY nice and VERY fun to hang around with.
James- an Australian guy who I met while running and I'm supposed to go see him race on Friday night at 8pm. I think I'll make a sign or do something equally goofy. Hopefully if I do that he'll go hiking with me on Saturday. I don't have a car or bike so i have to butter up the people that do into taking me out.
okay. this is boring to me now. Cheers.
Woah. I really didn't mean to say that in an "Australian" fashion. Oops.
okay. this is boring to me now. Bye.
