We road tripped to Byron Bay for a week and I just got in last night. I don't know what to say about it really - I've never been a huge fan of beaches for the sole reason that I HATE sand, but it was nice. The weather was great, bar the last few days where it rained like nothing else, but I can't complain because it was beautiful and inspiring, and I generally love cold wet weather. I also love how people up there are so different - so laid back and relaxed. It's a complete contrast to life in the city, that's a given duh, but ... it was just a shock, I guess, which leads me to believe I'm far more sheltered than I think I am. I forget that not everyone is like me, but I'll leave things at that because really, that tangent could go on for a few more paragraphs. But can I just state here and now how funny it is that Omar wears the exact same clothes two days in a row? I love him. ;)
In short, Byron was great but I don't think I could live there. I need the city. I need city lights and busy streets and loud cars and obnoxious people. It's what I'm used to and damnit, I love it.
Before I forget, I got my tattoo (finally). I was going to get a music note on the inside of my left wrist but I ended up getting it on the small of my back. It didn't hurt at all and I think I'm in love with it. :) I'm going to get an outline of a small star on my left shoulder blade next, hee.
Nevermind the string from my pajama pants :-D
Not much else to say really. Club Acoustica on the 25th of this month and Mayer on the 16th AND 17th of April. Everyone needs to buy the "Breathe" remixes. I'm a happy camper, I do believe.
