Since some of you asked me to keep posting on LJ some of my #LuxWorldProblems posts that I've outsourced to twitter, here's a few more of my more amusing thoughts.
Not Boston, Cambridge. The quirky city across the river. Home to 2 of of the top three I live and work here and it's a strange place my friend. Here's what I think is the idea behind it... TVs and other types of entertainment devices are addictive, mentally degrading items. Owning something like that would be similar to using crack-- and perpetuates more mentally degrading behavior like buying more passive entertainment devices to sit in front of slack-jawed like an animal.
What the real elite do is read, travel, or participate in cultural activities.
So I did a quick google search to try and find a site that explains the culture here and this is what came up:
