Work has been undeniably slow lately. For a town with a revolution, not much has been going on.

Although I did manage to interview some of the people who had been arrested as they were released. The had some fascinating things to say. When they weren't being difficult, that is. Alas, but these civilians have not the foggiest idea of the importance ( Read more... )

[ooc: Because he can't resist hacking into everything and anything. XD]

You're old. Stop being in denial and get over it.

And how the hell did you get books dropped on your head? What were you doing, sleeping?

[ooc: completely understandable. XD]

Certainly I'm older than you are.

I was reading, as is often a customary thing to do in a book shop.

No kidding.

Then you simply weren't paying attention to your surroundings.

Ah, well, if I knew everything that occurred around me than there would be little to surprise me. That would make for a rather dull experience.

...So what you're really saying is that you prefer to be knocked on the head by hard objects. Fascinating.

It's a risk I take. A gamble, if you will.

Ah! A word I appreciate.

Though it's still moronic to get hit on the head by anything. You don't have any self-preservation instincts, do you?

So you're a gambling man, are you? Hm...

But of course I have self-preservation instinct. Most people do. But I choose to ignore them, as doing so makes for a much more interesting life. If I paid attention to silly things like that, I'd never have accepted the job that brought me here.

[ooc: LOL I love his point of view. XD]

Heh. You could say that.

...I'm not sure whether to be amused or appalled by this interesting point of view. Ignoring your instincts is like purposely backing your car into a fire hydrant.

[ooc: why thanks! He doesn't get much in-game fleshing out, so I... improvised some, based on what I do know.]

As you may have inferred, I'm something of a gambler myself. Interesting to see that someone with such a different perspective having similar hobbies.

But I'd stake that you play to win only.

This way of life has served me well thus far, and I see no reason to exchange it for a more boring lifestyle.

[ooc: DAMN he read Seto like a book. XD]

I do. Anything less of first place is a waste of time.

Fine, do as you will. At least I'll get some entertainment seeing you ignoring common sense.

[ooc: It's not a terribly hard conclusion to reach. XD;]

And that is where you and I differ. Well - one place, anyway.

I don't recall asking your permission. But entertainment is a part of my career, so I must be succeeding.
